Experience
*16.5
years of construction, maintenance, upgrade and repair of cellular/mobile
phone, microwave, and Wi-Fi sites. 2 years at lead-hand level, 8 years at the
foreman / superintendent level. 6+ collective years of experience in
construction/project management. *Installation
of BTS equipment (Nortel, Ericcson, Lucent, Motorola, Nokia, Ceragon, etc),
antennas, fiber optic cable, and 50ohm coaxial cable of all sizes on all
types of communication towers including office buildings, rooftops, water
towers, and billboards. *Tower
construction including waveguide ladders, various antennas and dish mounts. *Connector
attachment on all major brands of telecommunication cables in various
applications. *Completed
cell sites from raw land condition to a finished product for customers
including AT&T, Sprint, Verizon, T-Mobile, Cricket, FiberTower, Nextel,
Clear, Motorola and others in major markets across the U.S. *Trained
and supervised crews of 3-4 throughout entire process of cell site
construction in accordance with customer’s specifications and strict company
safety policies as well as OSHA’s. *Managed
2-4 crews regarding daily activity and operations. Kept crews trained and
prepared for various scopes of work, for various vendors. *Current duties as a project manager: -
Same as Sr construction manager duties listed below, plus: -
Seeking and setting up sub-contractors where needed. -
Seek projects through various customers to support current manpower and
resources. -
Estimate cost for each specific job; calculate sustainable profit margins
then schedule/award accordingly. -
Ongoing monitoring of job costs (labor hours, materials, change orders, etc)
and making necessary adjustments to stay within profitable margins. *Common
duties as a Sr Construction manager: -Daily
meetings with the customer to update all project activities, including
construction progress, alarm-clearing and “jeopardy” sites. -
Coordinate construction/scheduling as the primary POC to the regional
director and/or corporate executives regarding progress, delays, and
sub-contractor updates. -
Assist/fill in for the regional director in procuring sub-contractors,
materials and PO’s, and accurately forecasting critical milestones for our
customer. -
Leading, training, and helping a small team of construction managers or
foreman (3-4) in regards to meeting construction milestones in a timely
manner, and in order. Distributing the workload to ensure the team is working
at maximum efficiency. Keeping the team at least 3 weeks ahead of construction
forecasts in order to clear up all LL pre-cons and potential scoping issues. -
Tracking production on a daily basis in regards to material delivery,
sub-contractor scheduling, and site completion forecasts, including our
customer’s OEM vendor for integration planning. Weekly reporting to the
company’s internal quality/safety audit team for their scheduling purpose. -
Tracking trouble-shooting/repair crews daily on newly integrated sites for
repairing any issues and/or clearing any alarms before the sites’ on-air
date. -
Assisting the CM team or foremen in any way necessary to keep the workflow
steady, and to hit forecasted milestones. (Ex: Covering for a CM or PM while
they’re on PTO, help expedite sites with any construction roadblocks such as
access, LL issues, up or down-scoping quotes to keep them trued-up in real
time). -
Conducting a weekly CM meeting to specifically cover milestone dates and
any/all issues that the team may have, including closeout tracking. (LL
closeouts, Punch walks, true-up PO’s, and ultimately handing off to the
